Blog #1 independent

I showed up by 9 A.M. in mid August. I was nervous, but also anxious to start my football career. I saw most of my friends stretching and doing there regular warm ups that I had no idea how to start. As I grew a part of the team, I never realized how much my passion for the game would grow. The feeling of scoring a touchdown and all of your teammates rushing to you. The sensation of winning games, and defeating rivals. The drama that comes along between the coaches and the players, also within the team itself. Overcoming so many obstacles that make average students quit and give up and not give the sport a chance.
I thought Getting through the year was hard enough but before I even realized it, we had just lost our playoff game and the season was over. Saying goodbye to the seniors that I’ll never be able to play on football team with again, but also getting prepared for next season. To finalize on the season, we attended the banquet and to my surprise I won an award on just my first year of football.  I didn’t realize until later that my junior year opened up so many doors for me to be given an opportunity to play college ball. The school year went almost as fast as the football year, it was summer going into senior year and I was attending football camps and getting looked at by scouts and recruits. As the days neared the beginning of the football, I was so anxious to start where I left off at the end of my junior year season.
I went into the season with so many expectations and goals that I almost forgot to enjoy the sport, to have fun. I never thought it was possible but before I knew it, we had almost wrapped up our season and we were about to play our playoff game at home. It was a game I’ll never forget. It was cold, rainy, and slippery; all of the correct conditions to give any football team a disadvantage. As the game came to a close, I stood on the side line watching the clock slowly countdown to 0, closing my high school career. As our team huddles on the middle of the field, we all came to one knee and listened to our coach give us his final speech to us. I had my hand shading my eyes, tears running down to my face. I hadn’t realized that something I put so much effort and passion into could be over as soon as it started. I walked off the field, never to play again for my high school, thinking in my head silently…. ”This was some kind of adventure huh”.   But I know that the adventure doesn’t stop here, i will continue to pursue my passion into college.

Documentary Blog #3

Our group has progressed very little, we have obtained some amount of research but only a couple pages on some studies that were done. The most challenging issue we have right now is how we are going to begin filming, we have some locations we have in mind but not a solid loaction that will relate to our question that we are trying to answer. On top of that we still have to focus on a main question to ask.

I've learned from the reading that more research can be done even on a well researched project. It's surprising that even if you think you have all the information on a certain topic you can still add more information and get a possible better result. But then again, even if you get the smallest amount of additional information, that makes your project that much better. It's not really about how much it is, just the simple fact that it becomes better.

Documentary blog #1

Our documentary group hasn't accomplished too much, we're about 80% sure we're going to film a documentary on Call of Duty: Black Ops. But we also don't know if we have our group together yet, 2 of us are in the group but we are undecided about another because of the wrok ethic he had in the PSA. Questions are group have right now is if we have our group together yet and how to begin the project altogether.

I've learned that there are have many different creative aspects, they can be about past events or even follow the "creative treatment of actuality". It can cover many different forms of film and what it can capture. It surprises me that even though you may think that your documentary is useful, it may not be useful to the majority of the audience and you have to go through many failure's before you can reach a pinnacle of success.
